PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Roasted Hemp Seeds are whole hemp seeds that have been exposed to temperatures of 225 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit for periods of 6-14 minutes to alter some of the enzymes necessary for photosynthesis, rendering the seed non-viable and incapable of germination. Selling unsterilized live seeds is prohibited by law, with the exception of some particular cases.

Keeping the seeds complete, allows the fiber component of the hemp seeds to remain intact. Hemp hearts, on the contrary, have the shell and therefore most of the fiber removed keeping just the nut and oily part of the seed.

Whole roasted hemp seeds have a crunch and nutty flavor and can be consumed as such without the need for hulling or milling.

STORAGE AND HANDLING
This is a Shelf-stable product. It does not require refrigeration. The optimal storage condition is <68 ºF, at <65% humidity.
