When just harvested from sesame plants, sesame seeds are embedded in a seed coat or hull. These Sesame Seeds are processed mechanically to remove the outer husk, revealing a brilliant, white seed. The hulling allows the seeds to have a nutty, clean flavor compared to unhulled or Natural Sesame seeds which have a firmer texture and a slightly bitter flavor.
